As a Health Information Associate, you will work to ensure all record requests from patients, referring physicians, attorneys, internal departments, etc. are fulfilled in an appropriate manner and all patient records are accurately maintained. This is a Full-Time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:(95%) Medical Records AdministrationEnsures that all incoming and outgoing medical report requests are processed on a daily basisAnswers telephone requests for patient files from referring physician offices and patientsPrepares the daily duplicates and reports for delivery by the various courier servicesFiles and organizes the courier lists of outgoing films and reportsShips all other items leaving clinic using preferred shipper as neededFinds and retrieves outside films for doctors, technologists, and researchCommunicates with attorney and insurance companies regarding patientsCommunicates with patients to ensure they receive the records they have requestedFollows all HIPAA guidelines for release of information(5%) Completes other duties as assignedRequired:High school diploma or equivalentWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeData entry experienceProficient with using computer systems and typingPreferred:* Previous medical records experience* BilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
