Production Technician

For more than a decade, Crescent and our predecessors have executed on a consistent strategy focused on cash flow, risk management and returns.  Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet. The Production Technician serves as a critical bridge between pumpers, field data systems (Field Operator), and production accounting (ProCount), ensuring alignment between field measurements, SCADA systems, and accounting records.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Lease Operators (Pumpers) with daily route data entry across wells, batteries, and facilitiesReview Daily Allocation Error Report and correct measurement errors, data gaps, and daily production volumes within Field Operator.Review daily variance reports and resolve discrepanciesIdentify and report issues impacting production or measurement, such as abnormal production behavior, variances, equipment malfunctions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMonitor and validate run tickets daily and work with transporters, purchasers, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.Weekly downtime validationReview and validate well tests.Review daily allocated production vs theoretical volumes and explain any variances outside of tolerance.Track and analyze daily production and sales volumes, downtime, and measurement variances.Perform basic variance analysis to identify data inconsistencies and reporting issuesMonitor tank levels, meters and measurement points, separators and production equipment for volumetric anomalies. Identify opportunities to improve data field-to-accounting alignment, data capture and quality.Assist Operators in troubleshooting issues in Field Operator.Coordinate and ensure that routes are synced daily in Field Operator.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail (critical for production and revenue accuracy)Basic understanding of oilfield operations and terminologyPreferredAssociate or bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field)2+ years’ experience supporting production, operations, or engineering teamsExperience with Field Operator / ProCount / SQL / RtChxKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyAbility to identify discrepancies and resolve issuesEffective communication across field, accounting, and operations teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with ability to work independently Crescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
