Environmental Justice ProgramProgram Assistant +The EJ program is seeking a program assistant who can be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, directing, and implementing of projects under the EJ program. This position will provide general office support and administrative assistance to all EJ program areas. Status: Non-exempt, Regular Part-time (30 hours per week) Pay rate: $18/hour To apply: Send cover letter and email to: info@tewawomenunited.org ResponsibilitiesAssist and support EJ Program in fulfilling project(s) goals and objectives, including but not limited to, the preparation of community engagement activities, research, and specialized projects Conduct essential office duties, such as proofreading and making copies/scanning of documents, responding to emails and phone calls, and organizing office equipment/space, etc. Relaying internal emails to staff Prepare and maintain physical and digital files as requested by program staff Assist in planning and organizing logistics for program training, sessions, and activities Assist in managing online resources by updating Google Calendar, EJ Google Drive, and Monday.com boards with program impending activities/ events/ trainings Attend and participate in EJ weekly staff meetings and monthly TWU Staff Meetings by taking minutes and notes Maintain and update contact listing and databases for the program Reserving equipment and conference rooms for presentations and in-office meetings Acting as a liaison between different departments within TWU Maintain confidentiality when programming TWU and through the EJ Program Participate in check-in meetings with the Program Manager on productivity, accountability, performance, and delegation on a regular basis Perform other duties as assigned by TWU Director and/or EJ Program Manager Outreach/Community Building Assist in updating, creating, and distributing outreach materials and newsletters within social media outlets, websites, etc. Maintain supporting relationships among media, key decision makers, and community members/ organizations, including tribal and public schools Represent TWU and participate in community events as assigned, which include both internal and external events Assist the EJ program/TWU by revising and distributing outreach information that is accurate and available for its intended purposes Finance and Fundraising Obtain prior approval and provide updates to EJ Program Manager regarding purchasing supplies, mileage reimbursements, input of expense form, budget support, and timesheets Assist with proposal writing to develop additional funding as requested Collaborate in general TWU fundraising strategy. Training and Classes Participate in trainings/ classes for staff, service providers, and community on a variety of topics, including but not limited to the Environmental Health & Justice Program and TWU Organization Commit to ongoing professional skill development and anti-oppression practice/ approach. Campaign Movement Building and Connection Support other TWU Programs as needed and indicated in scopes of work with the supervisor's pre-approval. Assist in coordinating and implementing TWU Campaign(s). Qualifications Commitment to TWU's mission and values Must have a minimum of GED or high school diploma Preferred the candidate to have an associate's degree or two years of experience in administering or supporting nonprofit programming. A combination of school and experience can be considered Experience with excellent organizational and time management skills Desire to work in a team environment Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of people in social and professional situations; experienced interacting and working with a diverse population Capability to communicate clearly in written and oral form Ability to interact with a variety of personnel at different levels of responsibility Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and colleagues, collaborative partners, board members, government officials, volunteers, customers, and constituents Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Monday.com, Google, and database management software is desirable Experience working with Native American communities/clientele, cultural sensitivity to the needs and distinct tribal and cultural ways of life, and willingness to complete cultural competency training and/or undoing racism training Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work a flexible schedule Organized and able to multitask Effective and creative problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently Basic computer skills Reproductive Justice ProgramProgram Assistant +The Reproductive Justice Program is seeking a program assistant who can be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, directing, and implementing of projects under the RJ program.
