Sales/Catering Coordinator

Job description Immediate interviewing, Catering/Sales Coordinator Job Description: Catering Sales Coordinator assists the Director of Catering and other sales managers in the handling of accounts. Responsibilities include: answering telephones; processing letters, proposals and contracts accurately and in a timely manner; and maintaining filling, trace and office services in accordance with normal operating procedures. Assists managers in all facets of catering/marketing/service process, from solicitation of sale through service of event while in-house, including after-event follow-up, by typing, copying, distributing and filling all related correspondence as well as answering and responding appropriately to incoming telephone calls. Primary Responsibilities: -Must be knowledgeable of facilities, capacities, menus and menu costing to make professional sales calls. -Develop a banquet menu for the Director of Catering and Chef. -Use call reports for all calls and notations to file so that the repeat calls can be handled knowledgeably by other sales office staff. -Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be required. -Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximize employee Qualifications - Negotiation, customer service, and sales experience required - Strong analytical skills and ability to upsell products - Prior experience in retail sales and cold calling beneficial Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.50 - $22.50 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Morning shift Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
