It ensures that our company's data has a high degree of reliability and integrity. The Enterprise Data Governance Policy & Program Office team's mission isto maximize data value for business stakeholders, reduce company risk, and to create consistent and trusted data throughout its lifecycle. The contractor role requires a breadth of Data Governance knowledge and experience across the spectrum of governance foundational activities, including tooling and reporting. After assessing the current state, the consultant will work with individuals to introduce data governance practices, and drive engagement with primary Enterprise Data Governance Tools for stewardship, catalog, lineage, maturity and reporting.ResponsibilitiesKey to this role is experience with Critical Data Elements (CDE)1. Identification: identify CDEs by understanding their importance tobusiness processes and regulatory requirements.2. Quality Assurance: ensure the accuracy and quality of CDEs throughregular audits and validation processes.3. Governance: govern CDEs by enforcing data management policies andstandards, including compliance with relevant regulations.4. Collaboration: work collaboratively with different departments tounderstand the use and impact of CDEs across the organization.5. Education: educate and guide users and stakeholders on the proper use andinterpretation of CDEs.6. Innovation: The Steward will look for innovative ways to enhance thevalue of CDEs for decision-making and strategic initiatives.o Assess the Data Governance practices across various lines of Businesses orDomains. Identify pain points, opportunities and priorities to engage them indeveloping glossary, catalog, DQ, etc. governance practices.o Prepare and guide LOBs to build their foundational DG knowledge base andassist them in the effective use of governance tools.o Assist in or develop requirements, user guides or other training/ presentationsthat facilitate advancement of DG knowledge and proficiency.o Create enterprise -wide Data Governance Guidelines or standards asrequested. Strong proficiency demonstrated in writing and communicationskills.o Assess or assist in the assessment of proposed new governance tools, identifytheir synergies with current suite of tools or where duplication ofcapabilities will result or where gaps will persist.o Leverage expertise in governance and technical knowledge, as well asinfluencing skills to support the adoption of EDG Governance tool -Collibra.o Apply critical thinking to assess and optimize the use of data governancetooling innovations and lessons learned to best advance the objectives of theEnterprise Data Governance policy.o Assist in the support of the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) Program andPolicy office initiativesRequirements• Bachelor's degree, relevant experience or higher education degree in ahealthcare, business, governance, computer science or related field• Documented experience in the implementation of data governance practices.• Knowledgeable regarding the development of DG standards, Glossary,Catalog data quality, metrics and DG tools; Collibra experience a plus• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a healthcare business environment• Knowledge of Healthcare payer lines of business or products; and/or hands onexperience with data management (medical, provider, claims, clinical,pharmacy, eligibility etc.) is a plus• Ability to convey complex data concepts via visual techniques to succinctlycommunicate• Self-motivated to do what it takes to achieve success and navigate in a highly-matrixed environment• Ability to manage timelines and meet tight deadlines• Experience working in Agile project management (SAFe experience a plus)• Ability to demonstrate and honor principles of Service, Innovation, Diversity,
