Quick Job Details Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro & Orthopedic Medical?Surgical Location: Amarillo, TX 79106 (Amarillo healthcare jobs, Texas travel nurse) Contract Length: 13 weeks (Travel nursing contract) Shift: Night, 3 x 12?hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30) — 36 hours/week Unit: 35?bed Med/Surg – Ortho & Neuro (telemetry monitoring) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 – $1,540 Start / End: April 13, 2026 – July 13, 2026 Perks: Free proximal covered parking, discounted meals, local hotel rates Who We’re Looking For Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — eligible to work in Texas Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in Medical?Surgical, Neuro, or Orthopedic settings BLS and NIHSS required (assistance available for NIHSS) Recent EPIC charting experience (within last 6 months) — EPIC EMR proficiency preferred Must live at least 50 miles from facility (local traveler rule) First?time travel RNs welcome Scrub color: Any (no logos) Key Responsibilities Deliver high?quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neuro, orthopedic, and medical?surgical needs Monitor centralized telemetry and respond to changes in patient status Manage typical Med/Surg patient ratios (1:6) and float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, and Discharge Planning Document patient care using EPIC EMR and complete required onsite orientation/modules Work with patient care technicians, transporters, and house discharge nurse to support optimal outcomes Why Amarillo?
