This individual will guide their inside sales team and manage the customers in their territory to meet company sales and profit initiatives. The Outside sales representative will report to The Area Sales manager and will work closely with the Inside sales reps to help the territory provide superior customer experiences internally and externally.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are typically performed by those with this job title; however, they may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each person with this job title:Directs sales activity by leading their Inside sales team, communicating the needs of the customer across the organization and reporting performance / market trends for the territoryFacilitates the sales planning and execution process to support Territory growthAnalyze current sales trends, market conditions and other pertinent information to drive Sales planning process to ensure all areas are capable of meeting customer needsWorks with R&D and managers to help develop the roadmap for future-generation products or marketsFosters continuous engagement with customers including customer visits, facilitation of on-site meetings and attendance/participation in industry-based trade showsDrives personal talent development through product knowledge, sales training, value selling and objection handlingCustomer Problem Solving: Leads commercial discussion and/or actions related to solving concerns introduced by our customersForm strong relationships with Top Tier customers and develop an in-depth knowledge of other mid-upper level customers/prospects as directedRemains focused on growing their territory through market share growth, cross selling opportunities and new businessNavigate Territory strategically utilizing company toolsOne of the primary duties of the role is making sales and obtaining ordersQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
