Vice President of Sales
Are you a strategic commercial leader with a passion for the beauty industry and a proven track record in mass retail? A vertically integrated emerging brand is seeking a dynamic VP Sales to drive end-to-end business performance. This senior leadership role oversees the retail business and is responsible for delivering sustainable, profitable growth across all mass channels.Their mission is to create accessible, professional-grade products that fuel creativity and empower customers to express their unique style.The VP will report to the CEO and is a cross-functional powerhouse, owning everything from demand planning and channel strategy to brand growth and P&L performance. You will lead the sales team and partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure our brand shines on every shelf.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Forecasting: Own the rolling sales forecast and lead SKU-level demand planning across all mass retail accountsRetail Execution: Define and execute high-impact channel strategies for major mass/drugAccount Management: Lead negotiations, line reviews, and joint business planning (JBP) to deepen key retail relationshipsFinancial Oversight: Fully own revenue targets, trade spend, and P&L performance for the mass retail divisionOperational Alignment: Partner with Supply Chain to optimize inventory levels, improve fill rates, and minimize stockoutsMarketing Integration: Collaborate on retail-specific marketing, brand positioning, and digital commerce strategies to drive velocityQualificationsExperienced Leader: 10+ years of experience in Retail Sales/Merchandising, with deep expertise in the mass/drug retail landscapeProven Closer: Successful track record of managing and growing large-scale national accountsAnalytical Strategist: Strong financial acumen and advanced analytical skills, particularly in forecasting and retail dataCollaborative Driver: Cross-functional leader capable of operating both at a high strategic level and with a hands-on approachEducated Professional: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)Salary could be 250-300k or more plus bonus, depending on experience.
