Travel Certified Surgical Technologist

Job DescriptionAccess Healthcare is seeking a travel Certified Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Cooperstown, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Certified Surgical TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalDuration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hoursEmployment Type: TravelFacility: Bassett Medical Center Unit: OR - CVOR Tech Unit Overview  Facility: Bassett Medical Center  OR Rooms (CVOR): 1 dedicated CVOR room  Case Volume: ~2–3 cardiac cases per week  Team Structure: o 1 Cardiac Surgeon o 2 Perfusionists o 4 Surgical Techs (team varies by shift) Case Mix & Expectations  Primary Cardiac Cases: o CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting) o Valve replacements/repairs  Tech Expectations: o Must be able to scrub independently for open heart cases o Expected to assist with vein harvesting  Experience with endoscopic (preferred) and open techniques Required Additional Experience (Critical for Submission) Due to lower cardiac volume, candidates must be well-rounded and able to support other service lines. Minimum expectation: experience in these service lines in addition to CV: Vascular (VASC)  General Surgery  Plastics Candidates who only have CVOR experience without additional service line exposure will not be considered.Floating Expectations  Floating Required: Yes  Frequency: Daily, based on case volume  Areas: o General OR o Vascular o Other surgical specialties as needed Equipment & Systems  Experience with standard CVOR equipment expected, including: o Heart-lung (bypass) machine support environment o Cell saver  Familiarity with common cardiac instrumentation and sterile setup required  No specific vendor system required, but strong adaptability is expectedAccess Healthcare Job ID #5-BHN-1228.
