Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Cape May, New Jersey. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with a strong attention to detail, a solid background in cash applications, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.Responsibilities:• Process and reconcile cash applications with accuracy and efficiency.• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.• Maintain and update financial records to ensure compliance with company policies.• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.• Assist in identifying discrepancies and resolving accounting issues.• Collaborate with internal teams to support overall financial operations.• Utilize Excel to analyze data and generate reports.• Ensure all accounting functions adhere to regulatory standards and best practices.• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.• At least 1 year of experience in cash applications and general accounting.• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and formulas.• Familiarity with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial computations.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies.• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.• Knowledge of accounting principles and applicable regulations.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
