Structural Engineer
Overview
In this role you design and deliver structural engineering solutions for a range of building projects within Stantec’s Buildings team. You will collaborate with Project Engineers and Principal(s) to ensure quality and client satisfaction through the full design process. The position emphasizes integration with other disciplines, mentorship for technical and project management growth, and adherence to Stantec’s QA/QC standards. You contribute to sustainable design outcomes and project delivery in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. ResponsibilitiesDevelop structural analysis, design, documentation, and construction administration for building projects, with some work self-performed on smaller projectsParticipate in project meetings, site visits, and workshops to support project deliveryFollow Stantec’s QA/QC processes and secure approvals before technical authority reviewsCoordinate with all disciplines to integrate design and client requirementsEngage with mentors to advance technical, project management, and people skillsAssure quality throughout the design process and meet client expectations
