Inpatient Rehab Coder – Contract-to-HireRemote | $32–$37/hr1 Opening | Start ASAPAbout the Role:Our Client is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab Coder to join their team. This role supports highly complex rehabilitation patients with extensive comorbidities, multi-traumas, and large documentation volumes (90–100+ pages). Training is 1:1.Responsibilities:Code Inpatient Rehab (IRF) encounters, including IRF-PAI, IGC assignment, and IRF-PPS/CMG guidelinesManually abstract codes (no CAC) using Meditech Expanse and 3M/SolventumReview extensive multi-disciplinary notes (OT/PT/ST)Maintain productivity (4–5 charts/day) and 95% accuracySchedule:Training: 9–5 PM ESTAfter training: flexible EST hours; 40 hrs/week; weekend option if consistentContract Details:Contract-to-HireRemote; equipment provided (dual monitors, computer, accessories)Open to candidates in FL, GA, AL, SC, NC, KY, AR, AZ, MDCertifications: AAPC or AHIMA (Required)Ideal Background:IRF experience preferred; strong understanding of IRF-PAI, IGCs, CMGsSolid knowledge of the difference between DRG/PCS vs. IRF-PAI/IRF-PPSSoft Skills:Asks questions, proactive, transparentStrong communicator, team-oriented, flexible, committed
