Information Systems Officer (Pension and Benefits), P3 (Job Opening No. 277004)- Deadline to apply: 20 June 2026Job SummaryJoin the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) as an Information Systems Officer and contribute to the modernization and delivery of critical technology platforms supporting one of the world’s largest international pension funds. UNJSPF administers benefits for more than 80,000 beneficiaries across 190 countries and serves over 150,000 participants from 25 member organizations worldwide.This position is located in the Information Management Systems Service (IMSS), Enterprise Applications Section (EAS) of UNJSPF Pension Administration. The Information Systems Officer reports directly to the Team Lead of Team 3 and supports the delivery, integration, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise applications that underpin pension administration, financial operations, workflow management, and business services.The incumbent plays a key role in designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting enterprise technology solutions, including pension administration systems, cloud-based platforms, ERP systems, and IT service management tools. The position contributes to digital transformation initiatives, operational efficiency improvements, and business continuity efforts through innovative, secure, and scalable technology solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:• Manage projects involving feasibility studies, systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise applications and technology solutions.• Deliver implementation and operationalization of enterprise platforms supporting pension administration, business operations, and enabling services, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.• Design and deliver integrations between pension administration systems and enterprise platforms, including ERP, financial systems, workflow solutions, document management platforms, and IT service management applications.• Support cloud adoption and migration initiatives, including environment management, integration architecture, CI/CD enablement, and operational readiness activities.• Develop detailed functional specifications, technical documentation, system designs, and user guides.• Analyze business requirements and translate user needs into effective application and integration solutions.• Maintain, enhance, and support existing enterprise applications, ensuring reliability, security, and optimal performance.• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide ongoing technical support to business users and stakeholders.• Ensure appropriate data security, access controls, and compliance standards are maintained across enterprise systems.• Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing to support successful project delivery and system enhancements.• Develop training materials and deliver user training to support adoption of new technologies and business processes.• Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity activities, and operational resilience initiatives.• Research emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve service delivery, automation, and operational effectiveness.• Support ITIL-aligned service management processes, including incident, problem, change, release, and request management.• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of enterprise solutions.• Support the development and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.• Provide guidance and technical support to junior staff, consultants, and project team members as required.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.• A first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise information systems is required.• Knowledge of pension administration processes, pension and benefit entitlement processing, payroll, and payment lifecycle operations is required.• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Vitech V3/Velocity, Oracle Fusion Financials, ERP Financial Suites, Pension/Payroll Systems, and/or ServiceNow is desirable.• Knowledge of integration technologies and protocols including REST, XML, FTP, WSDL, JSON, and SOAP is desirable.• Experience designing and developing integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, AWS integration services (including API Gateway, AppFlow, and Step Functions), or similar technologies is desirable.• Experience developing integrations for ERP and ITSM platforms using technologies such as PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Java is desirable.• Experience supporting cloud-based applications, enterprise integrations, and digital transformation initiatives is desirable.Benefits• Opportunity to contribute to the modernization and digital transformation of a leading international pension organization.• Work with a diverse, inclusive international team representing multiple cultures and professional backgrounds.• Access to professional development, technical training, and continuous learning opportunities.• Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid remote work options.• Comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan, health insurance, parental leave, and up to six weeks of annual leave.• Opportunity to support mission-critical systems serving UN staff and beneficiaries around the world.
