Mill Branch Manager Location: San Antonio, TX, 78201 Job Summary: The Mill Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mill branch, including managing staff, ensuring safety and compliance, and meeting production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in the lumber or wood products industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Establish and enforce best-in-class manufacturing process Lead execution of growth strategies and key initiatives Manage and supervise mill branch staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Oversee production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing department to ensure adequate supply of raw materials Collaborate with sales team to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on production, sales, and other key metrics Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality products and excellent service Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in the lumber or wood products industry, with at least 2 years in a management role Knowledge of mill manufacturing process, including machinery, dust collection and CAD. General understanding of machinery and knife grinding processes and management Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment Ability to operate machinery and equipment
