INSTALL TECH APPRENTICE

DescriptionWe are seeking anInstall TechApprenticeto join our team in Klamath Falls and be a part of the Oregon East Gov't team at Day Wireless. This role offers hands-on training in a wide range of technical environments - from installing equipment in emergency vehicles to supporting dispatch centers and working at tower sites.This is not a desk job. This is a career path.This will start out Part time and move into a full time position as you learn and as work is available.What You'll DoAssist withvehicle upfitting(lighting, radios, consoles, wiring)Supportdispatch center installations and serviceHelp withradio system troubleshooting and maintenanceAssist withtower site work , including antenna and cable installationTravel locally as neededLearn industry standards for public safety communications systemsQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForStrong mechanical aptitudeComfortable using hand and power toolsWillingness to work indoors, outdoors, and occasionally at heightsDoing what is right for our Customers.Strong work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to take direction and learn quicklyValid driver's license with clean driving recordYou have the ability to enter your time on time every time.You have the ability to respond to emails in a timely mannerPrevious Public Safety Radio Experience or HAM experience.Bonus (But Not Required)Basic electrical or low-voltage experienceExperience with automotive wiringOSHA or safety trainingPrevious construction, automotive, or technical background
