Project Executive – Large Scale Power GenerationLocation: United States (site-based / travel required) Sector: Power Generation / Energy Infrastructure / EPC Employment Type: Full-Time, Executive Leadership Project Value: Multi-Billion Dollar ProgrammeAbout the OpportunityWe are supporting the delivery of a major US power generation programme connected to next-generation AI and hyperscale data centre infrastructure.This is a rare opportunity to lead the execution of a large-scale thermal power generation project involving utility boilers, steam turbine systems, balance of plant infrastructure and complex EPC delivery.The successful candidate will take full ownership of project execution from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery against aggressive schedule, budget and operational targets.The RoleThe Project Executive will provide overall leadership for the successful delivery of a multi-billion-dollar power generation programme. The role will oversee all EPC activities, manage major contractor and client interfaces, and ensure safe, on-time and on-budget execution.This position requires a highly experienced power generation leader with deep expertise in steam-cycle generation projects and a proven track record managing major capital programmes exceeding $500 million.Key ResponsibilitiesLead full EPC delivery of a large-scale power generation project Direct all engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities Manage project budgets exceeding $500 million, including forecasting, cost control and commercial performance Provide leadership across multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and subcontractors Ensure delivery against critical schedule milestones within a fast-track execution environment Manage client, executive and stakeholder relationships at senior level Oversee contract administration, change management and claims mitigation Ensure compliance with all HSE, regulatory and quality standards Drive project reporting, governance and risk management processes Support commissioning, startup and operational readiness activities Required ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline 15–20+ years’ experience within power generation or major energy infrastructure projects Proven experience as Project Director, Project Executive or equivalent leadership role Demonstrated delivery of utility-scale thermal power projects Strong background in: Utility boilers Steam turbine generators Thermal / steam-cycle power generation Balance of plant systems EPC project delivery Experience managing capital projects valued above $500 million Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management capability Experience leading large site-based construction teams Knowledge of commissioning and startup processes for power generation assets Preferred ExperienceExperience delivering projects above 1GW generation capacity Background with major EPC contractors, OEMs or utility owner/operators Experience in fast-track industrial, LNG, petrochemical or hyperscale infrastructure projects Familiarity with AI data centre or high-demand power infrastructure programmes PMP or equivalent project management certification desirable What’s on OfferOpportunity to lead a landmark energy infrastructure programme Executive-level leadership role with significant project responsibility Competitive compensation package including bonus and long-term incentives Long-term project pipeline and career growth opportunities High-profile role within a rapidly expanding infrastructure sector ApplyTo express interest or request a confidential discussion, please submit your CV and project portfolio detailing relevant large-scale power generation experience.
