Controls Automation Engineer - Relocation Assistance Available📍 Mt. Pleasant, IAVenteon is currently seeking a Controls Automation Engineer for a manufacturing company in the Mt. Pleasant, IA area. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career looking to grow within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.Position OverviewThe Controls Automation Engineer will support the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems and automation equipment. This role works closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve system performance and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with programming, configuring, and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs (Siemens primarily)Support troubleshooting of control systems, drives, and instrumentation to minimize downtimeMaintain and update control system documentation, including wiring diagramsCollaborate on equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvementsSupport capital equipment projects and new system implementationsAssist in implementing FactoryTalk and other automation platformsPartner with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiativesSupport and train maintenance technicians on automation systemsParticipate in plant initiatives such as Gemba, 5S, and continuous improvement programsAssist with MES-related systems (e.g., Camline, Iconics, WiriTec) as applicableQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field2+ years of experience with control systems in a manufacturing environmentExperience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)Understanding of electrical schematics and industrial networksFamiliarity with industrial safety standardsStrong communication and teamwork skillsHands-on troubleshooting ability with tools such as multimetersProficiency with Microsoft OfficeWillingness to support off-shift or weekend work as neededWhat’s OfferedCompetitive compensationStrong growth and advancement opportunitiesFull-time, direct hire opportunityComprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision)401(k) and paid time offNote: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
