Senior Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $100,000 to $120,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accurate tax-related disclosures. Provide support during tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings. Lead or participate in special tax-related projects as assigned by management. Mentor and guide junior tax accountants, providing training and support as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is highly preferred. 2- 3 years of public accounting experience in the real estate tax industry. Experience with (Prosystems, Gosystems) tax software and Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel). In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-experts.
