Job DescriptionJob Title: Student Worker - Student Worker-Transformation Waco AfterSchool Club STEAM TutorJob Classification: Community Service, StudentDepartment: Off Campus Community ServiceHiring Manager: Tambra HallContact: tambra.hall@wacoisd.orgWork Schedule: Flexible Working hoursDesired Length of Employment: Fall/OngoingPay Rate: $12.00Job Description:Specific Job Responsibilities:Provide individualized or small group instruction in STEAM subjects.Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.Support students in developing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creative skills.Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.Use educational tools, technology, and platforms to enhance learning. Collaborate with other educators and staff to align with curriculum standards.Encourage curiosity, innovation, and teamwork through project-based learningGeneral Responsibilities:Communicate with Transformation Waco's Outreach Coordinator regarding specific Program operations/needs.Ensure upkeep of STEAM program property and equipment. Maintain a working knowledge of how to utilize all relevant STEAM property and equipment.Work closely with Transformation Waco's Outreach Coordinator to retain organized and accurate records and assist in record maintenance as instructed.Attend required meetings, trainings and other events as instructed within work hours.Coordinate with Transformation Waco's Outreach Coordinator to ensure STEAM program's quality and standards are maintained.Implement safety and discipline guidelines.Maintain a working knowledge of the program's policies and proceduresMaintain frequent and open communication with Transformation Waco's Outreach Coordinator regarding any program events, meetings, or other changes.Perform other tutoring-related duties as assigned.Preferred qualifications and experience:Experience working with children 1st through 5th grade strongly preferred.Experience working with at-risk children is a plus but not required.All applicants must be Federal Work Study (FWS) Eligible.Provide support and assistance in a respective area of community serviceAssist with various projects, activities or tasks related to community serviceProvide excellent customer service to constituentsUtilize available resources to perform duties accordinglyServe to enhance outreach for the greater Waco communityMust be federal work study eligibleAbility to comply with University policiesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceEmployer: Baylor UniversityWork Location: Transformation Waco
