Heavy Equipment Operator

Includes using hand tool, such as, shovels, rakes, plate compactor, etc.Perform other related duties as may be required by the Production Land Maintenance Manager. Job RequirementsEducation And TrainingHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck’s automobile insurance policy.Technical KnowledgeClass A Commercial Driver’s License or equivalent required.Basic computer and software skills.Technical knowledge in mechanical repair and equipment operation skills will be given preference.Good communication skills.Travel And Hours Of WorkOvernight travel may be required based on project needs at Beck’s regional locations and may vary in duration of time.Work hours may vary, depending on weather and project urgency.Physical DemandsMust be able to lift up to 70 pounds unassisted.May be required to pass respiratory medical clearance evaluation.Must be able to pass DOT physical examination and obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate. ExperiencePrevious work experience with excavation equipment and heavy trucks preferred.
