Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer for an assignment with a focus on building and maintaining scalable and reliable data foundations within the People area. The role aims to enable global reporting and analysis through high-quality and well-structured data solutions.In this role, you will work on extracting, processing and validating HR data using Python and SQL, and modeling data into analysis-ready structures such as star schemas and semantic layers. You will also be responsible for delivering and further developing Power BI dashboards that support the business's needs for insights and decision support.You will work closely with stakeholders in People & Culture as well as IT and data platform teams, such as Snowflake, to ensure clear KPI definitions, good data governance and secure access. The role entails overall responsibility for creating robust data solutions that enable data-driven decisions across the organization.Qualifications:You have higher education in a relevant field (e.g. Data/IT, computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics) or equivalent work experience.You are fluent in English.You have strong practical experience with Python for data preparation and automation as well as SQL for extraction/transformation.You have solid experience in developing and maintaining Power BI solutions (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, performance, lifecycle management).You have an understanding of databases and data modeling; experience working with or close to cloud-based data warehouse solutions (e.g. Snowflake).You have experience with HR/personnel data and HR systems is an advantage.
