2 or 3 Axis CNC Machinist

Position OverviewLighthouse Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 2-Axis / 3-Axis CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components that meet strict aerospace quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform machine setups and operate 2-axis and/or 3-axis CNC machinesInterpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructionsEnsure parts meet tight tolerance requirements and aerospace specificationsConduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)Make offset adjustments and minor program edits as neededPerform deburring, cleaning, and finishing of machined partsMaintain accurate production and quality documentationFollow all safety protocols and quality standards, including AS9100 requirementsCollaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issuesQualifications2+ years of CNC machining experience (2-axis and/or 3-axis preferred)Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environment strongly preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TFamiliarity with tight tolerance machiningExperience performing full or partial setupsProficiency with inspection tools and techniquesStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityPreferred SkillsExperience with Fanuc or similar CNC controlsKnowledge of G-code editingUnderstanding of AS9100 quality systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceOvertime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysCareer growth opportunities within aerospace manufacturing
