LPN (0-3) - POOL | Adult Forensic Residential Program (451)

Job Purpose: - The LPN position is integral to the efficient functioning of their assigned Unit. They will, by virtue of their role, be responsible for providing client care and improving nursing service in an organized nursing unit. Will assist consumers in increasing interaction skills, in improving level of functioning and in gaining insight into their illness; this includes establishing a meaningful relationship with all consumers. Key Responsibilities: - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. - Monitor and document patient vital signs, behaviors, and responses to treatment. - Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans. - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and wellness. - Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records. - Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care delivery. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. - Support a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Required Education: - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse Required Experience: - Minimum of one (1) year experience in nursing, preferably in a mental health setting Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong understanding of nursing practices and principles. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software systems. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
