Administrative Assistant
Principal Secretary A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and skills for the successful performance of the tasks assigned.Reports To: PrincipalJob Goal: To provide the necessary clerical responsibilities required for the administration of the school district in order to assure the smooth, efficient operation of the school office.Performance Responsibilities:Keep all information confidential.Act as receptionist in answering the telephone and greeting visitors.Arrange appointments and screen visitors.Type and proofread correspondence.Organize and maintain a filing system.Assist in the preparation of a variety of educational reports and research documents.Operate office machinery.Is courteous, cooperative, and dependable.Maintain confidential nature of all school related matters.Perform necessary functions unique to the particular secretarial position for which employed, plus some of which are listed below:Assistant to the transportation director.Inventories classroom supplies kept in the office.Building purchases.Enter middle school scheduling.Follow all requirements set forth by DESE and District Board Policies.Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Education or administration.Terms Of Employment: Eleven month employment. Salary set by the Board of Education.Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of District Board Policy.
