Information Technology and Facility Security Officer
Position OverviewA top manufacturing leader with global ties in the defense and maritime sector is seeking an experienced Information Technology & Facility Security Officer to lead all Information Technology operations and oversee industrial security programs across multiple domestic and international locations. This position will be located in the greater Jacksonville, FL area.This strategic leadership role is pivotal in supporting our operational and security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, safeguarding classified sensitive information, and maintaining reliable, scalable cybersecurity and IT systems. This position will also partner closely with operational leadership to support cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure modernization, regulatory compliance, and long-term technology planning in a government contracting environment. This position will have direct reports.Essential FunctionsInformation Technology Oversee all IT systems, infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, hardware, and softwareLead technology initiatives, system upgrades, modernization efforts, and disaster recovery planningManage relationships with third-party vendors, service providers, and technology partnersAdminister system access controls, onboarding/offboarding processes, and user support functionsSupport secure communications and information systems in accordance with contractual requirementsCoordinate IT support activities across multiple facilities and remote locationsDevelop and manage departmental budgets related to IT systems, equipment, and servicesProvide strategic guidance regarding technology growth, scalability, and operational efficienciesOther duties as assignedSecurity & Compliance Serve as a liaison with government security representatives and support external audits or assessmentsMaintain personnel security clearance processes and documentation using DISS and NISSEnsure proper handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of sensitive and classified materialsConduct security training, briefings, inspections, and incident reporting activities across all facilitiesSupport compliance initiatives related to insider threats, export controls, and operational securityImplement and maintain industrial security programs in support of compliance requirementsImplement corrective actions and process improvements related to security compliance initiativesOther duties as assignedRequired Skillso Ability to manage sensitive and classified informationo Ability to lead IT operations within a multi-site, regulated environmento Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network administration, infrastructure management, and access control systemso Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skillso Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skillso Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanoro Must adhere to policies established by the company and have high values for safety awarenesso Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; employee recognition and discipline; resolving employee concerns; and developing employees with the skills, competencies, and values needed to achieve Company goals.Education and Experience o Bachelor’s degree in IT, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceo Experience supporting security compliance programs within government contracting or regulated industries is requiredo Industry certifications related to cybersecurity or information systems management, knowledge of federal contracting compliance frameworks and export control regulations and a background within defense, maritime, manufacturing, or industrial environments is preferredo U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is requiredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWhile performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear.
