Housekeeping and Laundry Manager

Hours: Exempt/Salaried, Min. 40 hours/ weekLocation: Brio Living Services | Chelsea Retirement Community | Environmental ServicesOverviewThe Housekeeping & Laundry Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping and laundry team members within the Environmental Services (EVS) department.What You’ll DoLead, hire, and train housekeeping and laundry team members. Assess, create, and maintain cleaning schedules.Ensure excellent customer service, respond to customer preferences and complaints.Evaluate workflow and distribution of work between team members.Maintain and post the master and bi-weekly schedules for team members.Replace scheduled team members as necessary due to call-ins, leaves of absence, etc.Receive and manage time off requests from team members.Inspect rooms and public areas daily.Maintain a working knowledge of all cleaning chemicals and processes.Carry out training programs as new methods or techniques are adopted by the department.Serve as weekend manager as assigned.Assist with assigned duties of the team, including but not limited to cleaning rooms, sweeping hallways, and laundry.What It TakesHigh school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of three (3) years managing staff, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and laundry operations preferred.Why Brio Living Services?Make a difference in the lives of older adults!Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance| Retirement Savings Plan| Wellness Program & ReimbursementUp to 6 weeks of flexible time off Growth Opportunities | Educational Scholarship Program | Tuition ReimbursementACCESSIBILITY SUPPORTBrio Living Services is committed to offering reasonable accommodation to job applicants with disabilities.
