POSITION: Janitor         REPORTS TO:   HR Manager             LOCATION: Winslow, ME         Position Summary The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment. This role ensures production areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards to support efficient operations and employee well-being. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas daily. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility. Empty trash and recycling containers and properly dispose of waste. Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces Dust equipment, ledges, and fixtures. Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs. Follow safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report maintenance or safety issues to management. Support special cleaning projects as needed (deep cleaning, spill response, etc.) Maintain organized janitorial storage areas. Safety Responsibilities Follow all plant safety policies and PPE requirements. Properly handle and store chemicals Maintain awareness of forklift and equipment traffic in production areas Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous janitorial or industrial cleaning experience preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail Dependable with good attendance Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs Ability to work in an industrial environment with dust, noise, and temperature variation. Work Schedule Full-time  Weekend Shift- Friday, Saturday and Sunday- 7:00am to 7:30pm Core Competencies Reliability Time management Safety awareness Teamwork Attention to detail.
