Electrical Controls EngineerFast-paced manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to support engineering and production with controls, programming and electrical project engineering tasks in their high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing organization. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:Providing electrical and controls plant support as the site expert for PLCs, HMIs, electrical panels, etc.Partnering with production and process engineering to maximize equipment efficiencies and reduce scrap ratesSupporting project and process engineers on CapEx projects by identifying controls and automation needsProgramming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLCsPerforming electrical troubleshooting to eliminate downtime, including drives, light curtains, etc.Supporting business network systems, including ethernet, servers, etc.Providing input on the design of panels, including working with integrators and buildersPartnering with team members to complete continuous improvement activities utilizing Lean methodologiesAssisting with HMI troubleshooting, upgrading and installationManaging timelines and budgets of engineering projectsCompleting documentation on project statusOther duties as assigned by managementCandidates should enjoy working in a team environment, be willing to support other engineering team members related to electrical engineering and have the ability to take ownership of projects. Individuals should enjoy spending 20% or more of their time on the manufacturing floor. This is a high-profile position that will represent as the plant electrical engineering expert. Medical benefits are available the first day of employment.Requirements for the Electrical Controls Engineer:Bachelor's Degree in a technical field; electrical engineering or electrical engineering technologies majors are highly preferredMinimum of three years of similar electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting capital equipment projects from an electrical standpointExperience programming PLCs, ideally Allen BradleyCore electrical troubleshooting skills, including servos, curtains, HMIs, control panels, etc.Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelSkills preferred but not required:Project management of timelines and budgetsPower distribution experienceRobotics and/or automation experienceLean CertificationAutoCAD, related to electrical projectsMS ProjectExperience working for an OEM or integratorExperience working in related processing manufacturing environments, including chemical, coating, plastics, refinery, food and/or beverage industriesWhy work for this organization:Company supplies a diverse product line to multiple industriesExcellent benefits, including 401K, profit sharing and bonus potentialNo layoffs in the last 20 yearsGood work/life balance, with every other Friday offFast-paced work environment, focused on continuous improvements and Lean initiativesOpportunity for advancementMillion dollar investments are scheduled for the plant in the next two to three yearsA new line is coming to the plantCandidates are preferred to be local to the Belton, MO area.
