The organization supports government agencies by advancing technology innovation within healthcare services.About the OpportunityThe Cloud Database Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing the database and data platform environments of key government healthcare systems. This role ensures data integrity, availability, security, and performance across multiple cloud and relational database platforms. The position plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with data governance standards and supporting the organization’s mission to improve healthcare IT.Responsibilities• Administer and optimize database environments including AWS Redshift Serverless, Snowflake, Amazon Athena, and relational databases.• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and workload management.• Manage backup, recovery, and high-availability configurations; support disaster recovery testing.• Support Databricks workspace administration including cluster management and job scheduling.• Develop and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, and data migration scripts.• Ensure compliance with CMS security controls such as encryption, access control, and audit logging.• Support database testing and coordinate on data quality validation.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.• Minimum six years of database administration experience, including at least three years with cloud data platforms.• Hands-on experience with AWS Redshift Serverless and Snowflake.• Experience with Amazon Athena query optimization and Amazon S3 data lake management.• Knowledge of Databricks cluster and workspace administration.• Strong SQL skills for tuning, schema development, and data migrations.• Familiarity with database security controls and compliance.• Ability to pass CMS and internal background checks for public trust.Pay Range and Compensation Package• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.Benefits & Perks• 100% remote work flexibility.• Supportive work/life balance.• Opportunities for growth and development.Equal Opportunity Statement: Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
