About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end applications that deliver direct operational impact to analyst workflows. You’ll work closely with mission stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to capture requirements and build solutions across the full stack — from user-facing interfaces to back-end services and cloud-based data pipelines. Your work will integrate directly with specialized mission data repositories and tooling in a cloud environment. Responsibilities Build and maintain user-facing applications that integrate front-end UI with back-end services to support analyst workflows Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for mission data access and processing Incorporate data visualizations to surface actionable insights for analysts Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for secure, reliable application deployment Work within cloud environments and customer-specific data repositories to deliver end-to-end solutions Collaborate directly with stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to capture and translate requirements into working software Support integration with mission tools including XKS, GM, LABBENCH, PRESSUREWAVE, and Elasticsearch Required Qualifications Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Java, and JavaScript Experience with Elasticsearch and Git-based version control workflows Hands-on experience with mission data repositories and corporate tooling (XKS, GM, LABBENCH, PRESSUREWAVE) Ability to build full-stack applications spanning UI development through back-end API integration Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines for application deployment Desired Qualifications Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments Database query development and optimization Familiarity with the intelligence collection cycle Experience with Data Science, Machine Learning (ML), or Artificial Intelligence (AI) workflows Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) and applied AI tooling Full software development lifecycle experience: requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance Why engineers join Benz 15% employer 401(k) — vested day one, no match required 28 paid days off per year $7,500 annual tuition reimbursement $2,500 training & development budget 28 years in business — our engineers stay through recompetes
