High School Mathematics

Vergennes Union High School is seeking a high school Mathematics educator for a full-time opening in the high school mathematics department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:>/b> Deep understanding of the CCSS in math and the standards for mathematical practice.Understanding and proven application of Proficiency-Based LearningDemonstrable understanding of formative assessment and differentiationAbility to positively contribute to an environment that responds to students' academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and physical needsExperience collaborating with department colleagues, special educators and cross-disciplinary teachers on curriculum, instruction, and assessmentExperience and a desire to implement and develop interdisciplinary learning opportunitiesExperience communicating and partnering closely with families regarding student progress and supportsEffective integration of 21st-century skills into the learning environment
