Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Tulsa, OK Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/30/2026 About the Position Job Title: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Profession: Clinical Professional Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Zero to six months of related experience License: Valid Oklahoma Provisional / Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or temporary letter to practice issued by the Oklahoma Medical Board Certifications: Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) credential through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Must-Have: 1 year of experience; BLS certified through AHA; Critical Care; Experience working with General Pediatric Patients Description: The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assesses, implements, and evaluates the delivery of respiratory care services. The therapist utilizes processes in accordance with hospital standards and department policies. The purpose of this role is to monitor and evaluate patient status. Responsibilities include assessing and delivering care/interventions to patients in non-critical care areas. Care is delivered with consideration to patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors. The therapist performs computer entry, verifies physician orders, and documents pertinent clinical information. Accurate documentation in the medical record according to policy is required. Care is effectively provided to patients in critical care areas. The therapist provides mechanical ventilation, both invasive and non-invasive, while monitoring and measuring patient parameters. Ventilator maintenance and setting changes must be attended to, while monitoring patient response. Effective communication with the healthcare team is essential. Professional judgment should be demonstrated in response to changing patient or departmental situations. Tasks may be delegated and supervised as indicated. Respect for patients' rights is a priority. The therapist establishes effective relationships with patients, their families, and medical staff. Positive customer service skills are utilized in interactions. Consistent communication updates with the department are maintained. Support for departmental and hospital goals is encouraged through participation in in-services and meetings. Organizing, prioritizing, and performing skills appropriate for the patient population is required. Anticipation of patient and departmental needs is expected. Other duties as assigned may be performed. The therapist responds to code blues, RIT/CRIT calls, and transports in a timely manner. Participation in mentoring new personnel is encouraged. Monitoring the quality and appropriateness of patient care is necessary. Active participation in projects aimed at improving patient outcomes is welcomed. Independent judgment in planning operations and making minor decisions is required. Coordination of activities of others may be involved. The therapist works directly with patients and/or customers. Internal and external customer interactions occur via telephone or face-to-face. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and staff is essential.
