Chemical Operator= Commerce, CA 90040= $20.00–$25.00/hr + Potential OvertimeAvailable Shifts5:00 AM – 1:30 PM9:00 AM – 5:00 PMWeekend and holiday work may be required based on production demands.Position OverviewWe are seeking safety-focused and detail-oriented Chemical Operators to support manufacturing, production, shipping/receiving, and material handling operations within a fast-paced chemical manufacturing environment.This position is responsible for executing production plans through SAP, maintaining quality standards, operating forklifts, handling tanker and railcar unloading/loading activities, and supporting customer order fulfillment operations. Candidates must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing setting while following all EH&S, DOT, and company safety procedures.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with chemical manufacturing, industrial production, warehouse, or process operations experience.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & ManufacturingExecute daily production schedules and manufacturing activitiesOperate production equipment and support chemical processing operationsProduce finished products safely, efficiently, and according to quality standardsComplete production documentation and batch records accuratelyMonitor throughput requirements and communicate production concerns proactivelyAssist with troubleshooting and corrective actions when neededShipping & ReceivingSchedule and perform loading/unloading of:TankersRail carsTotesDrumsPailsPrepare shipments according to customer specifications and DOT regulationsReceive incoming materials and transfer products to designated storage locationsMaintain accurate SAP inventory and shipping documentationQuality & SafetyFollow all EH&S, OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulationsWear all required PPE:Hard hatSafety glassesSteel-toed bootsGlovesFace shieldParticipate in:Daily/monthly safety meetingsBehavior-based safety programsWeb-based trainingEnvironmental management initiativesMaintain clean and organized production and warehouse areasSupport quality assurance and lab proceduresEnsure products meet production and quality specificationsEquipment OperationSafely operate forklifts and material handling equipmentPerform safe dock operations and material movementReport maintenance or equipment concerns promptlySupport continuous improvement and Kaizen initiativesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in:Chemical manufacturingIndustrial productionManufacturing distributionProcess operationsForklift experience requiredSAP or ERP system experience preferredComputer proficiency including:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft WordSAP systemsStrong reading, math, and communication skillsAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsLean Manufacturing / Six Sigma exposure is a plusStrong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safetyPhysical RequirementsAbility to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to:Stand for extended periodsWalk, bend, climb stairs, and balanceWork indoors and outdoors in varying temperaturesComfortable working around:Moving mechanical equipmentHeat and humidityDust, fumes, and airborne particlesChemicals including acids and basesNoise and vibration
