Looking for someone to start as soon as possible.Looking for someone that lives/relocate to work in Fort Hood, Texas You will be traveling to Warren, MI and Maryland to train from now until NovemberAbout 30-40% travel during training and still travel while in Texas if neededEveryday job is going to be in Texas, please keep that in mindJob Summary:The Senior Field Engineering Representative will provide on-site technical leadership and field engineering support for a single defense program. This role serves as the primary on-ground point of contact for Roush Defense during vehicle testing, training, operations, and sustainment activities at customer locations. The role requires a working knowledge of all applicable vehicle subsystems and be capable of hands-on troubleshooting, issue diagnosis, and coordination of engineering resources to support mission success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as the single point of contact and leadership element for Roush Defense during on-site customer operations.Lead and support on-ground operations, maintenance, testing, and training activities across all assigned vehicle platforms.Maintain working knowledge of all vehicle subsystems and diagnose system failures to guide technical resolution.Coordinate and direct internal engineering resources and external subcontractors to resolve technical issues.Interface professionally with U.S. Government stakeholders and subcontractors.Participate in hands-on training in Michigan and Maryland prior to deployment. Education and Experience (required):Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics.Minimum 7 years of relevant field engineering or defense vehicle experience.Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex ground vehicle systems. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (required):Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Defense security clearance, up to Top Secret.Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software-based vehicle subsystems.Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on diagnostics and repairs in field environments.Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to lead on-ground teams.Ability to travel extensively and reside at assigned program locations for extended periods. Education and Experience (preferred):Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics or related multidisciplinary engineering field.Prior experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense ground vehicle programs. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities (preferred): Active, ongoing Department of Defense security clearance and ability to maintain clearance, up to Top Secret.Experience coordinating work across multiple subcontractors and government stakeholders.Familiarity with defense vehicle testing, training, and sustainment operations.
