Property Risk ManagerLockheed Martin is seeking a seasoned Risk Management and Insurance professional to lead its property insurance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's domestic and international Property, Cargo, Marine, and Financial insurance programs, as well as providing general risk management support to the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business area. This leadership role will report to the Director, Risk Management in Bethesda, MD. Key responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and administer insurance programs, including renewals, claims management, and policy compliance
Provide risk management support to the RMS business area, including contract review, risk analysis, and bid and proposal support
Manage claims, ensure compliance with policy reporting requirements, and develop performance standards for claim handling
Identify risks, develop risk management strategies, and document risk reviews
Support M&A activity, respond to business unit risk management needs, and arrange surety bonds as necessary
Direct analyses and definition of potential loss areas, determine appropriate loss protection, and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Oversees preparation of broker or underwriter bids, evaluates bids, and recommends or concludes insurance contracts
Develop and coordinate property loss control programs to prevent losses and reduce premiums
Work environment:
- Team is based in Bethesda, MD with approximately 10% travel to business area sites and vendor meetings domestically and internationally.
- Expectation is team comes to office 2 days per week for collaboration, meetings w/alliance partners and internal stakeholders.

Desired skills:
15 years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, or insurance company operations preferred
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, ARM, and/or CPCU certifications
Demonstrated technical expertise in Property Insurance, including claims management and loss control
Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting practices and acquisition regulations
Effective project management skills
Effective use of Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidates final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
