Commercial Insurance Corporate Counsel
About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Corporate Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of legal practice experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience. Expertise in commercial insurance law is essential. This role involves conducting risk analysis, negotiating contracts and legal positions, analyzing complex data, and providing strategic legal advice on commercial insurance laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough risk analysis to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and legal positions that favor the organization.
Data Analysis: Analyze complex data to support legal strategies and decision-making.
Collaboration: Collaborate with attorneys to ensure cohesive and effective legal strategies.
Litigation Advice: Provide expert litigation and legal advice on commercial insurance laws and regulations.
Documentation: Prepare legal documents, including memos and position letters, to communicate legal positions and strategies.
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of legal practice experience, with a preference for in-house experience.
Specialization: Extensive experience in commercial insurance law.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements. Proficiency in risk analysis and strategic planning.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
