Senior Tax Accountant (CPA Required) – US Tax & ComplianceSan Francisco, CACandidates with 30 mins miles Responsibilities: Our Senior Accountants apply their professional knowledge to a broad variety of corporate, partnership and personal returns and tax strategies. Seniors work directly with Clients and must be ready to provide advice and guidance, and be able to unravel complex ownership structures and find appropriate tax strategies to apply. Seniors are responsible for managing and reviewing the Prep work of their assisting Juniors, and for producing the more complex tax returns, Must come in already proficient using CCH ProSystemfx Tax.. Seniors must be highly proficient in accounting and bookkeeping procedures and able to provide consulting to the staff of Clients, as well as training and guiding Juniors here at Client. Seniors will be proactively identifying tax and accounting issues that could trigger an audit of the Client and in conjunction with the Partners, must be able to come up with strategies to resolve them. Seniors will be preparing financial and tax projections; developing tax strategies; providing clients with quarterly tax payments; reviewing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, corporations, partnerships and estates; and ensuring the accuracy of all filings. In the event of an IRS audit, Seniors will participate with Partners in representing clients.Also conducts a non-profit organization audits. Seniors desirous of CPA license hours may be assigned an audit to manage, supervising the audit field work, and preparing financial statements and all disclosure requirements. Qualifications: Strong desire to become a Partner and own a boutique tax practice. 2+ years since earning your license as a CPA (preferably at the attestation level)  4+ years in tax work, accounting, financial analysis and similar preparatory work, already highly proficient. A solid theory foundation and understanding of accounting and auditing, including GAAP, GAAS and SSARS. Ability to research tax rules and accounting practices using direct-call outreach to sources, as well as online resources. Advanced proficiency and efficiency with CCH ProSystemfx, QuickBooks and Excel, online research skills using IRS law libraries, BNA/CCH and other industry websites, and strong general computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite, time and billing software, etc. Attention to detail, error-free work product and disciplined procedures for documentation.
