This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth while fostering a strong, team-oriented culture.Job Details:• Full-time, salaried leadership role overseeing laboratory services across two sites (Lebanon and Anson campuses)• Provide 24/7 operational oversight ensuring efficiency, quality, and patient safety• Ensure compliance with CLIA, Joint Commission, CAP, and regulatory standards• Lead strategic planning, modernization initiatives, and technology integration• Oversee laboratory operations including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance metrics• Manage end-to-end laboratory operations (pre-analytic through post-analytic workflows)• Partner closely with medical staff, nursing, executive leadership, and ancillary departments• Lead quality management systems (QMS) including QC, validations, proficiency testing, and performance indicators• Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and monitor KPIs such as turnaround times and service metrics• Oversee LIS systems, instrumentation, vendor relationships, and capital equipment planning• Ensure regulatory readiness, audits, inspections, and accreditation maintenance• Lead change management initiatives and standardize processes across sites• Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture focused on engagement, development, and retention• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development of staff• Serve as a key liaison between laboratory services and hospital leadership, committees, and external partners• Ensure an exceptional patient and provider experience through reliable, timely diagnostic servicesQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field• Meets CLIA-88 requirements as General Supervisor and Technical Consultant• Minimum 4+ years of high-complexity laboratory testing experience• Minimum 6+ years of leadership experience in a clinical laboratory setting• At least 1 year of training/teaching experience in a lab environment• MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent (or eligibility with plan to obtain)• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, LIS systems, and laboratory operations• Demonstrated leadership in operations, quality, finance, and team development• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsCompensation & Benefits:• Competitive salary• Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, retirement)• Leadership role with significant operational and strategic impact• Opportunity for professional growth and long-term career advancementRecruiter InformationRecruiter: Peter ZachowiczEmail: pzachowicz@bashealthcare.comPhone: (703) 574-1748 x214
