Hospitalist Director Position available! Enjoy living near Columbus OH and work in this progressive hospital with excellent back-up and coverage. The hospitalist physicians will enjoy seeing 15-16 patients a day while leveraging the admissions with a nurse practitioner doing the "front-line" work. About 25 patients are managed as a whole, but physicians average seeing 15-16. The hospital uses meditech as it's EMR. This newly acquired hospital contract is managed by a democratic growing group of physicians. No need to worry about being just a number in a big contracting system. Enjoy being a true part of the facility. The icu is open, and physicians can chose to do procedures such as central lines, vents, and intubations, or chose not to do procedures at all. The group will consider family medicine as well as internal medicine trained physicians. Compensation is very generous and a physician can work as either an employ of the group with full bennies, or work as an I/C with a slightly higher hourly compensation. Day and night rotations are required. The Director will be provided with an administrative support person to run reports, and do much of the "paperwork" . Also scheduling is done off-site. Primarily searching for a leader of the department to attend meetings and manage the staff. Additional stipend available for the directors increased responsibilities.
