Business Data Analyst

Robert Half Technology is partnering with niche manufacturing company looking for a full-time Business Data Analyst with strong analytical skills that can leverage data and analytics to support key data and business objectives. This position requires a combination of strong business acumen and great communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders (marketing, sales, product, manufacturing), to help deliver data and reporting to support department needs. You will be in a 100% hands-on role and responsible for data wrangling (via SQL and Excel) and reporting leveraging Power BI. The position requires 5 days onsite in the Whittier area and offers a full benefits package.What You’ll Be Doing (Responsibilities):Provide data analytics services to help solve business problems, drive value, and gain strategy and insight from information.Focus on providing data analysis from various sources: Marketing, ERP, CRM, Sales, Product, Inventory, and Supply Chain.Working Power BI to generate insightful reports.Qualifications:BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Economics, Statistics or related field.3+ years of experience in the data and analytics space generating insightful business reports and ability to explain "the why" behind the report to stakeholders.Must have strong SQL - specifically advanced SQL and optimization of complex queries.Experience working with Power BI preferred. Tableau or other reporting tools are ok as well.Flexibility to work within SQL, ERP and CRM data sources.Great communication skills and business acumenAbility to collaborate with business stakeholders and help design data-centric reporting solutions.Ability to work independently to discover data, understand data relationship, and deliver in support of the analytics business team.
