This position supports teachers and staff through coaching, training, data analysis, and implementation of effective instructional practices to ensure all students achieve high academic standards.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & InstructionValid Texas Teaching CertificationTexas Principal CertificationExperience:* Minimum 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience* Demonstrated leadership experience in curriculum planning, instructional coaching, or academic intervention (preferred)Special Knowledge/Skills:Strong knowledge of middle school curriculum, instruction, and assessment practicesProficient in analyzing and using academic data to drive instructionAbility to lead professional development and instructional coachingStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to support diverse student populations, including ELs and SPEDFamiliarity with state accountability systems (STAAR, TELPAS, etc.)Major Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional Leadership:Collaborate with the principal and leadership team to develop and implement campus instructional goalsLead the implementation of district curriculum and instructional initiativesModel and promote high expectations for instructional quality and student learningAssist teachers in developing and refining instructional strategies aligned to state standardsCurriculum and Assessment:Oversee campus instructional planning and ensure alignment to TEKS and district pacingGuide the development and use of formative and summative assessmentsMonitor progress of campus instructional programs and recommend adjustmentsTeacher Support and Coaching:Conduct classroom walkthroughs and provide timely feedback to teachersFacilitate professional learning communities (PLCs) focused on student achievementDevelop and deliver professional development sessions based on campus needsSupport new and struggling teachers through mentoring and coachingData Analysis:Analyze state and local assessment data to identify instructional gaps and student needsSupport teachers and leadership in interpreting data and planning responsive instructionMonitor student performance to ensure all subgroups are making adequate progressCompliance and Support:Support campus compliance with district, state, and federal instructional requirementsAssist with development and implementation of campus improvement plansParticipate in ARD, LPAC, and RtI meetings as needed to support student learningOther Duties:* Attend district instructional leadership meetings and training* Perform other duties as assigned by the campus principalWorking Conditions:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stressFrequent standing, walking, and use of computerOccasional district-wide travel and extended work hoursSalary commensurate with experiencePosition cannot performed remotelyWorks 226 Day CalendarStarting Salary $82,709Sheldon ISD will accept applications for this position through 06/01/2026.
