Position SummaryThe Construction Superintendent plays a pivotal role in overseeing all facets of project execution on the jobsite, including planning, scheduling, staffing, safety, quality control, and budget management. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within defined scope and budget parameters. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, the Superintendent may be responsible for coordinating and completing either a portion or the entire project.Essential Roles and Responsibilities:Safety AwarenessEnsure adherence to customer, governmental, and corporate safety requirements, fostering a culture of safety on the jobsiteConduct daily job safety analyses to minimize exposure and risk for all personnel involved in the projectProject ExecutionDevelop and execute project work plans, revising them as necessary to meet changing needs and requirementsManage day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project completionFinancial ManagementManage project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are completed within defined budgetary constraintsDevelop project estimates as required, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costsQuality ControlManage project quality and ensure work is performed in accordance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable codesFollow specifications and drawings associated with the project to ensure compliance and uphold quality standardsCollaborationCommunicate effectively with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns as neededFoster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among project team membersCustomer FocusEnsure compliance with contract requirements and mitigate potential issues or disputesUnderstand and interpret contract terms and conditions to minimize exposure and risk on the projectContinuous ImprovementIdentify and address project challenges in a timely and effective manner, implementing solutions to keep the project on trackAdapt to changing project needs and requirements, adjusting work plans and strategies as necessary to achieve project objectivesOrganizational LeadershipSupervise and coordinate the day-to-day work activities of the project crew, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient project executionRequirements5+ years experience in industrial or utility construction management Must have strong knowledge of construction means and methods associated with the specific project typesStrong decision making and problem-solving skillsEffective communicationProficient with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboardingNCCCO Rigger Level II certification preferred; candidates with or without Level I certification may be considered with the expectation to obtain Level II within 180 days of hireBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) Effective on your first day!
