CategoryQuality Control DescriptionOverall Purpose: The Final Inspector will inspect all end productions to verify compliance to our specifications as well as customers prior to shipping. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Accurately perform visual inspection on all assemblies for workmanship, and dimensional inspection to check for conformance to drawing requirements in Final Inspection areaAccurately review and execute the additional flow downs listed on shippers per customer requirementsPerform documented First Article reports as needed (AS9102 forms)Interface with manufacturing personnel and customers regarding source inspection, quality issues and final inspection results of end products.Review and document inspection results on process sheets, etc.Be involved in internal and external auditingAssist other areas as needed, including machine shop in process inspectionFollow quality system procedures, policies and instructionsAdhere to 5S StandardsAdhere to all company policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, policies for attendance and punctuality and standards for safety Other Duties:Other duties based on the needs of the Inspection Department and Quality Department The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the type of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Position RequirementsQualification Requirements: High School education or equivalent2+ years of experience in inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong math backgroundMust possess basic computer skillsMust be proficient in the use of basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, depth mics, comparators, etc.Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and other documented specificationsFluent in English (able to read, speak, write and understand)Have legible handwritingMust be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident) Physical Demands:While performing duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to: SitUse hands and fingers to handle, type or feelReach with hands and armsSpeak or hearWhile performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to: StandWalkLift up to 30 poundsVision requirements:20/25 eyesight or better with or without corrective lensesCannot be colorblind Work Environment: Warehouse environment Must be US Persons based on ITAR definition (US Citizen or Permanent Resident). * This position is expected to be exposed to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
