This role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, supports manufacturing operations with cost transparency, maintains compliance with cGMP, SOX, and corporate accounting policies, and leads the site's Jr. Accountant. The Accounting Manager drives efficiency, financial integrity, and continuous improvement across all financial processes.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles for the manufacturing site.Prepare/review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses.Support variance reporting at the site level.Financial and Operational Adhoc reporting.Support internal and external audits, ensuring SOX compliance.Cost Accounting Backup Function as a backup to the Cost Accountant by:Support costing for new products, engineering changes, and BOM accuracy.Monitor and reconcile inventory (FG, WIP, raw materials).Oversee annual physical inventory, and adjustments.Support costing for new products, engineering changes, and BOM accuracy.Compliance & Controls Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and corporate financial policies.Maintain documentation of key internal controls and audit readiness.Advise on corrective actions for any control gaps or audit findings.Ensure compliance with cGMP expectations in financial transactions and reporting.Payroll, A/P, and General Accounting Oversight Oversee site‐level transactional processes including A/P, and payroll submissions.Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices, prepayments, and immediate pay requests.Complete weekly direct employee payroll submissions.Complete weekly, monthly, and annual payroll reports.Manage fixed asset tracking and annual physical inventory.Complete quarterly requests; Leases, DOA, Energy reporting.Assist in the develop the site accounting team, ensuring a culture of accuracy, compliance, and collaboration.Drive process improvements to enhance financial controls, efficiency, and reporting.Serve as a financial business support to site.Participate in site meetings and provide reporting as required.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.Experience: 5 + years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing. Experience in operational accounting, general accounting and reporting. Frequent interaction will all levels of site management, including quality, operations, and other departments. Will interact from time to time with corporate accounting and Operations Controller.External Contacts – Interaction with external auditors and vendors is common.WORKING CONDITIONS This position predominantly works in an office type environment.
