SCADA/Controls/OT Engineer

Role: SCADA/Controls/OT EngineerLocation: Spring Green, WI (no relocation, likely someone from Madison)Must be onsite 4 days a weekDuration: 12 month contract to hireOverviewThis role will serve as the primary IT contact for the site and work closely with the engineering and controls teams across all CG sites. He or She will coordinate with automation & controls engineers, and work with Scada systems/ Wonderware/Aveva to tackle a handful of necessary OT tasks, includingTroubleshoot issuesApply updates or security patchesHelp capture machine data by facilitating numerous steps to get data from the machines to the control room screens on the plant floor.Troubleshoot Windows servers and Windows systemsworking with IO servers, PLCs, supervisory management systems, etc.Maintain the infrastructure behind the scenesTake ownership of complete projectsCollaborate closely with the corporate networking & OS support team.Design, configure, and implement HMI systems + the communication layout (in some unique cases)And moreThis person will be an expert in troubleshooting capture the issue, design a solution, and implement the fix as needed.Example Of An Issue This Person Would TroubleshootIssues with updating latest version of Wonderware / AVEVA, including installation errors, having to dig through the logs to figure out the problem, etc.Must Have Skills & ExperienceExperience with Wonderware / AVEVA System Platform, including Galaxy IDE, InTouch Window Maker, Window Viewer, and IO Servers Experience supporting SCADA / HMI systemsManufacturing or industrial services industry experienceWindows Server and general IT system administration experience Preferred Skills & ExperienceSolid understanding of industrial networks (plant networks, VLANs, basic troubleshooting) Hyper V virtualization experience (deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting VMs) Team/StructureThis person will often work independently, as well as alongside their manager + other automation & controls engineers at the various CG facilities
