Facilities Controls Engineer

Provide control system engineering support for facility systems serving a Central Plant and Semiconductor Fab. Position may require availability to provide regional support to two Austin, Texas locations. Primary ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and design of control systems associated with Central Plant mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water systems, Compressors, waste treatment, and pumps.Verification, implementation, and repair of programming code associated with control systemsPlan and preparation of designs, specifications, and estimates for projects.Support Manufacturing, EHS, and Central Plant Operations.Support control system start-up, system optimization, and shut down functions.Development of Instrument and Controls DiagramsPerform PLC programmingDevelop Facility Monitoring Control System operator interface screensSupport system start-up and system optimization.Provide imaginative/innovative solutions to control problems and troubleshooting.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Controls, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution with 5 years (minimum) of direct experienceExperience with Foxboro I/A system or DeltaVAbility to function effectively with peers inside and outside the organizationRoot cause problem solving skillsAutoCAD experienceStrong Microsoft Excel skills with knowledge or capacity to learn Visual Basic.Experience interpreting technical drawings/documents and performing technical analysis or drafting using computer-aided design softwareMore information about NXP in the United States...NXP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer regardless of age, color, national origin, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, status as a disabled veteran and/or veteran of the Vietnam Era or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
