Warehouse Manager

Job SummaryTo manage, organize and control all activities within the Warehouse function. To maximize the efficiency and utilization of all resources, including labor and equipment to achieve the required service levels and performance results. To provide a key link between the Warehouse and all internal and external customers.Role And ResponsibilitiesAccurate recipe and allocation of lot codes to all raw material/packaging deliveriesEnsure samples collected for Quality Assurance DepartmentEnsure correct inventory rotation of all raw materials and packagingEnsure all inventory stock is verified to specificationsWorking liaison with Purchasing Department to allocate delivery timesManage all waste disposalEnsure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly to designated departments as required.Proven record of accomplishment of delivering change through continuous improvement initiatives and techniquesAbility to work under pressure and capable of reacting to ever changing needs of customer requirementsManagement experience of planning within a high-volume operationOther duties as assignedQualifications And ExperienceExperience in food manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years)Excellent communication and influencing skillsA driven attitude that achieves resultsAbility to lead and motivate teams and individuals to achieve resultsKnowledge of ERP and IT systemsKnowledge of SQF requirements and documentationKnowledge of HAACP, USDA and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requirementsDesired SkillsPositive attitude and motivation by contributing to the overall success of the team. 4 Year Degree preferably in Logistics or Business AdministrationExperience with budgets and financial reporting.Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is preferred.Obsessive attention to detail, well organized and able to juggle many projects at once.Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments.Willing to address demanding situations head on with patience and respect.As A Leader Within the Kettle Cuisine Team You Are Expected To: Model and support Kettle’s Core Values and safety culture Create a culture of accountability & performanceDrive a focus on quality and continuous improvementPlan work, track results and resolve variancesLEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITYManages department, up to 50, across 3 shifts.Recommends actions and directions to supervisors, leads, and others.Position will have contact with outside vendors or contacts.Decisions or actions may impact other departments and/or external relationships of the organization. Position is responsible for staffing requests, interviewing, promotion/ demotion, and staffing levels of department.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Warehouse Manager encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Physical Demands/EffortsWork requires occasional physical exertion, including some lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.Mental & Visual DemandsWork performed by this position requires moderate concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks.Work occasionally requires some visual effort for periods of time.Work Environment and HazardsEmployee works in a manufacturing setting with some exposure to heat, cold, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience.The position has some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury.Less than 10% travel is required for this position. Travel would be to other sites via airplane.Department Leader must have availability and flexibility to work different shifts and weekends, to provide any needed direct leadership support to employees. May need to work weekends or overtime as required.
