We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team! The Mortgage Loan Originator solicits first mortgage referrals by calling on realtors, builders, and Select Employer Groups (SEGs) as assigned. They also pre-qualify members for mortgage loans, completes applications, and cross-sells other CEFCU products/services to meet their needs. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Communicate with members, realtors, and underwriters on the status of pending applications and assists to obtain information needed to complete and fund loan. • Assist team processor and closing coordinator when necessary. • Analyze member applications, assesses member goals and objectively recommends the best product to meet the member's needs. • Interview applicants over the phone as well as in person. • Follow up on applications submitted on-line. This is a full-time position (minimum 40 hours for the week), with opportunities for over time. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) to comply with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act). Must possess a current, valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle insurance. Previous lending experience of at least 2 years required. Excellent member communication and service skills are required. Proven record of sound judgment and decision-making abilities. Ability to maintain highest level of accuracy under on-going peak volume conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors' degree. Mortgage lending experience of at least 2 years. Proven business development experience. Summary Pay RangeThe anticipated starting pay range for this position is $31.56 - $37.07. Compensation offered may vary based on skills and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at CEFCU.
