Up to $10,000 Sign-On bonus based on experienceShift: DaysJob Type: Full TimeJob SummaryReporting to the Patient Care Services Director/Manager the registered nurse is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The unit is not limited to a single-organ subspecialty, thus employees must demonstrate competency and greater flexibility to care for a wide range of specialties including but not limited to medical, cardiac telemetry, surgical orthopedic, surgical obstetrics (non-postpartum), oncology (to include chemotherapy), dialysis, and medical/surgical neuro patients. Must have expertise in recognizing complications for a wide range of patient types. The Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining the unit mission and aim for patient focused quality care and excellence in customer satisfaction and ensures that patient's and visitor clinical and experience expectations are met.Minimum Education: BSN preferredMinimum Experience/Skills:Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience; Completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia (CDR); Must maintain annual ECG competency; 12 lead EKG course completion prior to hire/transfer. Progressive and/or multispecialty intermediate care experience preferred.License/Certificates/Credentials:California RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire for new grads only), TCAR required within 12 months of hire/transfer . For current employees/transfers who have TNCC, TCAR must be obtained by October 1, 2019. Must obtain National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit and must maintain thereafter.Physical Demands:Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking. Lift/position up to 50 lbs. Push/pull up to 50 lbs of force. Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Manual dexterity and mobility.
