At ServiceLink, data quality, governance, and platform reliability are foundational to everything we build.  About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and confident Azure Data Architect to join our Product Management team and design, build, and evolve an enterprise‑grade data platform on Azure. The core responsibility of this role is to establish a scalable, governed, and reliable data foundation that supports operational analytics, financial analytics, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. This role is responsible for creating the data architecture that enables trusted reporting, operational visibility, and financial insight—driving measurable business outcomes and improved operational and financial efficiency. While the platform will be architected to support agentic and AI‑enabled workflows, the primary focus is building the data platform and analytics foundation required to support the enterprise at scale. The Azure Data Architect plays a critical role in aligning data architecture with business strategy, ensuring the platform serves both current operational and financial reporting needs and future intelligent automation initiatives without compromising data quality, governance, or trust.  Key Responsibilities Enterprise Data Platform Architecture (Primary Responsibility) Design, build, and evolve a modern, enterprise‑grade data platform on Azure to support analytics and decision‑making across the organization Own the end‑to‑end data architecture, including data ingestion, storage, transformation, modeling, and consumption layers Define architectural standards for scalability, availability, security, performance, and cost efficiency Make and defend architectural decisions that balance flexibility, governance, and long‑term maintainability Data Modeling & Analytics Enablement Design and maintain canonical data models for key business domains, including operational and financial data Enable operational dashboards, financial reporting, forecasting, and efficiency analysis Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into durable, reusable analytical data structures Ensure analytics outputs are accurate, consistent, and trusted across teams Data Governance, Quality & Trust Establish and enforce enterprise data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, quality standards, and metadata management Lead the implementation and adoption of industry tools for data cataloging, lineage tracking, classification, and policy enforcement Define data quality frameworks that ensure high‑confidence datasets for analytics and intelligent systems Ensure compliance with internal security, privacy, and regulatory standards Hands‑On Platform Implementation Work hands‑on with engineering teams to design and implement data ingestion pipelines ETL / ELT transformations, and consumption layers Establish best practices for testing, deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning Review and guide implementations to ensure adherence to architectural standards Enablement of Agentic and AI‑Driven Workflows (Supporting Responsibility) Architect the data platform to be AI‑ready, with governed, discoverable, and semantically rich data Enable agentic and AI workflows by ensuring agents can reason, retrieve, and act on trusted enterprise data Partner with AI and application teams to support intelligent automation and advanced analytics use cases Cross‑Team & Architectural Leadership Collaborate with architects, data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders Provide architectural guidance and influence platform direction Act as a trusted advisor on Azure data architecture across initiatives  Key Qualifications Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application engineering, data engineering, or technical operations Demonstrated real‑world experience working in Azure Cloud environments Proven experience across the full development lifecycle of enterprise database applications Strong experience with Azure SQL Database (required) Strong experience with Azure Cosmos DB (required) Thorough understanding of relational data modeling, transaction processing, normalization/de‑normalization, and data warehousing (star schemas) Preferred Qualifications Experience with SQL Server or other enterprise relational databases Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly document‑oriented databases Familiarity with ORM frameworks Experience implementing Microsoft Purview or similar governance tools Why Join Us Own the foundational data architecture that powers operational insight, financial intelligence, and intelligent automation across the enterprise Work on real enterprise problems with real data volume, complexity, and impact Influence long‑term platform direction, not just short‑term delivery Collaborate with experienced architects, engineers, and business leaders Build systems that value trust, governance, and scale, not hype
